I don't think it will be the last!

well today has been an eventful day! I have not been feeling that well since yesterday so I was just laying down this morning on my bed and letting Alissa and Calan run up and down the hallway by my room. Well Alissa came running in our room and tripped over something in the doorway and fell forward and hit her head on the corner of the metal bed frame. I picked her up immediately cause I knew it had to hurt and held her in my arms asking her if she was OK and she was just screaming. When I looked down there was blood EVERYWHERE!!! all over my arm and her face and in her hair and it looked really weird at first like her skull was caved in and I FREAKED out and handed her off to Randy and left the room to freak out in private I was saying to my self "oh my gosh that's bad what do I do what do I do? we have to get her to a hospital" You would have thought my motherly instincts would kick in but they had the opposite effect on me and i FREAKED! when i calmed myself enough to go in and check on her randy had a rag on her head to stop the bleeding and when he lifted the rag off you could see the bone. I gathered the other kids together, which by the way Bailee was crying and was all worried about his baby sister, and we headed off to the emergency room to have stitches. she had to get about 3 or 4 inside and about 10 outside and screamed every second. I felt so bad because she had to be strapped down and they only put this stuff with a cotton ball on to numb it and didn't give her any shots to numb it and me and Randy kept thinking that maybe she could feel it but the doctor kept telling us that she couldn't. needless to say she survived the whole ordeal as did I and she is running around again like nothing ever happened. I think some doctors and nurses at the er are starting to recognize us! this is her first stitches visit and I don't think it will be her last!

All these pictures were taken after the stitches when we got home and took the bandage off. I wish we could have taken some before the stitches to show you how bad it looked but as you can imagine I didn't have time to grab my camera!

This is after we cleaned it up a little but its still hard to see the actual stitches.

These ones were right when the bandage came off and we hadn't cleaned off all of the blood after the stitches

Not too much going on

SO I thought I would do an update since I haven't been on for a few days. Nothing too exciting has been happening! I took Calan and Bailee in for checkups on Monday and Calans ears finally looked good!!!! He doesn't have to get tubes as of right now which I was really worried about! and they drew Bailees blood to try and see why has been having migraines and everything came back good which is good but not at the same time because we still don't know why he is having these problems. They want me to take him in for an MRI which he would have to be under pediatric sedation which I am not to fond of so I told them lets hold off and see if they get better. We just went to my niece Oaklees 5th birthday party today I keep teasing her and saying she turned 15 cause for those of you who know her she totally doesn't act 5!! she acts so grown up! but the kids had fun and it was nice to be able to send them outback to play! plus I got to squeeze and kiss baby Ellery! Over the weekend Bailee had baseball tryouts, well kind of tryouts, more like a draft for a different league than recreation league. I got so sick of the stupid t-ball coach pitch crap that didn't teach them anything about baseball! and he got bored with it as well so we moved him to this other league they call a learning league where they will actually teach him and they will have outs and strikes and all that! so Saturday they had a draft where the kids went and played for all the coaches and then in private the coaches would pick their players they want. every kid makes the team though. He did so so well! he hit really good and threw and caught all his pop flys! I am so proud of my little boy, or big boy as I should say he is like a foot taller than everyone. It is so weird to see him next to tons of little boys his age and to see how tall and big he really is! He totally towers over everyone! so we should be getting a call this week sometime from his coach and start practices. We can't wait! bailee is so excited too!

On another note my sister in law Kellee is starting up a company called mom to mom hair. she is a really good hairstylist that will come to you! we just need to get the word around so go take a look at her blog please! thanks! http://kelleebfly5.blogspot.com/

It could have been worse!!!

Today I picked Bailee up from school and went to Wal mart to get a couple things and on my way home I got a phone call from Randy who was at home with the other 3 kids saying that Alissa had something to tell me. He then handed the phone off to Alissa who was mumbling something in the phone I couldn't make out. she handed the phone to Damien who then told me that Alissa had cut her hair! I said "WHAT? Hand the phone to dad now!" Then randy got on the and told me that Alissa cut her hair and when I asked him how bad he couldn't or wouldn't tell me. I started freaking out having like a panic attack and only imagining the worst. I hung up cause I was too flustered to talk. Bailee then starts to freak out and asks whats wrong with Alissa. I told him she cut her hair and he said "oh, I thought by the way you were reacting she was bleeding to death or was dead!" I said "no but she will be when I get home!" and we kind of laughed it off a little. So when I got home, expecting to have a boy haircut on my daughters beautiful head of hair I couldn't really see where she cut too bad. Even though there was a huge pile of hair on the floor I know that it could have been worse!

This look is like "What? I didn't do anything!"

it's kind of hard to see in some of these pictures but she has kind of a spot in her hair where it's like thinned

here you can see where its chopped on the side. there is also a spot on top of her head where she cut almost to the scalp! but even that is hard to see! She also cut up the shirt she was wearing

that little area where there is no hair on her shoulder is where she cut it off at

here is her pile of locks! I know there is a chance this could happen again but I just don't know if I could handle it!

New pictures of Ellery

Here is a couple more pictures of Ellery. I had to go see her cute face again! Mother and baby are both still doing really good! My kids didn't react like I thought they would though, they didn't think or say much except for Calan who just wanted me and kept getting mad everytime I held her. They are such a cute little family!!!

Ellery Kimber Sorenson, my new neice!!!!

I am pleased to announce to everyone that I have a new beautiful niece! My brother Justin and his wife Wendy had their new baby girl yesterday March 4th 2009 at 7:32 p.m. She weighed 6lbs. 8oz. and was 18 inches long so she is a little peanut!!! But I can't even tell you how beautiful she is! she has lots of dark black hair and looks JUST like her big sister Oaklee! she has these Angelina lips that are so pretty! The labor and everything couldn't have gone better! she got induced at 3:30 and had her 4 hours later! I came home about 9 and Damien wasn't in bed yet he had sat on the stairs waiting for me to come home. I walked in the door and he asked if we could go see Oaklee's sister now. I said no not now maybe some other time the baby is sleeping. He started bawling his eyes out cause he really really wanted to see the baby. I went upstairs for a minute and could hear him down there crying and saying he wishes he had another baby sister!!! I went down after a minute to comfort him and he then asked me if I could have another baby for him. I had to break his little heart and tell him mommy wasn't going to have any more babies! He just started crying and said "but why mom? I really want one!" I just said sorry bud and left it at that. kids just don't understand!!!! anyways, I am so happy for my brother and Wendy and so glad everything went so good!
