Pictures and Poison control

Well all my kids have been sick with bronchitis but calan has been the worst the past couple days. He is usually such a happy baby but has been soooo fussy. I can't wait to have my happy guy back! Yesterday my friend Marianna called and asked if i could bring the babies down to have their pictures taken (Marianna works at the wal mart picture center in American Fork) because she had no appts that day and was bored. I told her I would take Alissa cause she was the only one that was feeling a little better. Well I ended up taking Calan with me too because he was so fussy and Randy didn't think he would be able to handle him because all he wanted was his mommy. Alissa did such a good job and totally ate it up! We decided to snap a couple shots of Calan too but they didn't turn out like I'd hoped but still pretty good for someone with a fever! Here are some of the ones we took.

I also need to add to the list of things Alissa has ingested. For those of you who don't know, Alissa eats everything and anything and we have taken a couple of trips to the er for all the things she has eaten. I have had to call poison control quite a few times so last night when she ingested something she wasn't suppose to I decided not to call and not to take her to the er but instead just to keep a close eye on her. Only because I didn't want to have to put her through all the needle poking and blood drawing again! so here we go with the list of things the #1 is what she did last night.

1. drank hairspray!!! ya it has alcohol in it but she acted normal!

2. opened and drank a bottle of Motrin

3. drank bleach

4. chewed on and ate a glass Christmas ornament

5. crayons and marker tips

6. paper

7. drank toilet water

8. oh ya she loves dirt!

9. jalapeno pepper

10. soap

Those are just the 10 worst! I can think of a lot more and for those of you who don't know Alissa very well you don't know how mischievous she is and when you turn your back on her for 2 SECONDS she is into something. I swear she doesn't have taste buds! I try my hardest to keep an eye on her but with 4 kids it's hard and I promise I am not a bad mom Alissa is just hard!

sweet and innocent

So you know on my earlier entry I was talking about how I loved the age Calan was at because they were still "sweet and innocent"!? Well I am starting to think that is just what they lead on and they are smarter than we think. I was sitting there with Calan and he had my phone and put it to his ear acting like he was talking on it. I thought that was really cute so I reached over and got my camera and snapped a picture of him doing it. As I was reviewing the picture I had just taken, something hard hit my nose. I looked up at Calan to see this HUGE smile on his face and couldn't help but laugh when I realized he had thrown my phone at me. He thought it was pretty funnny that I was laughing so he picked my phone back at me and started hitting me with it!!!! Real sweet and innocent right! Then a few minutes later he was playing with one of Alissa's baby dolls and he was hugging it going "ooohhhh ooohhh" and then started trying to stick his finger down her throat. When he couldn't get it down like he wanted to he started squeezing the baby really hard and eventually just chucked it! The best part was that I got pictures of all this! I am started to re-think the "sweet and innocent" part!!!! gotta love him!

First entry

ok so everyone has a blog so I thought I should try one too. I'm just not that creative so lets see how this will go. Alissa and Damien are sick today so we are not going anywhere, just sitting at home hanging out. I am kind of worried about Damien because he has a lot of history with pneumonia and he isn't sounding that great. his cough is horrible and once he gets started he cant stop. he coughs until he pukes. hopefully the antibiotics the doc gave him will start to work soon! poor guy!
Calan is getting so big! this is my favorite age! I thinks its because their personalities really begin to show but they are still sweet and innocent. He just cracks me up everyday. Me and Randy both think he is going to be a comedian because he loves to make ya laugh! Alissa just thinks she is his little mommy! he fell down yesterday and she went running to him helping him up saying "you ok? you ok?" it was so cute it made me want to cry!
Bailee is doing better in school. he was having some anxiety about a lot of things but we started sending him to school with a cell phone and is doing much better. he is such a smart kid he just needs to have more confidence in himself! he is going to start competitive baseball this year and we are all excited about that! so I will let ya know how that goes. The draft for it is march 11 or something like that.
well I think i am going to take the kids outside to blow some bubbles and enjoy this warm weather because I know it probably wont last! cya for now.
